1. What is Cereal?

Well, I am glad you asked! Here is brief description of Cereal:

Leedsoft Cereal is a unique, easy-to-use software program that helps you keep track of the valuables that you own. It provides a central location for storing important information about your items including their names, descriptions, values, and when they were purchased. Cereal allows you to generate detailed reports about everything including the total value, the most common types (electronics, vehicles, and jewelery for example) , and more. In the event of a loss of or damage to your valuables, Cereal even allows you print the details of one single item or all of the items.

Consider the following hypothetical scenario:

You just purchased a brand-new flat screen HDTV. You take it home, set it up and watch the big game all the while basking in its glory. Afterward, you retire to your bed to dream about all the programs you can watch and how good they will look. While you are sleeping, someone decides they want a nice new TV too. Since they cannot afford one themselves, they decide to break into your house and steal yours. Without a copy of the serial number and a good description of the TV, the authorities are unable to track down your prized possession and you are left with nothing to watch. Had you used Cereal to store your valuable information, the cops may have been to track down your TV and return it to you.

Cereal is also good for maintaining item lists for insurance purposes, too.

The first version of Cereal (09.12 "Andromeda")is more of a functional preview than an actual release. We have chosen to release this version for free until the next version is ready to ship. As such, there may be bugs and missing features but it should be enough to whet your appetite.

Starting with the next version (10.04 "Sirius") our pricing will be as follows:

• Standard version: $19.99 (with a special introductory offer of just $9.99 to the first 50 or so customers)
• Extended version: $49.99 (with a special introductory offer of just $29.99 to the first 25 or so customers)

Note: the extended version will have extra features not included in the standard version, such as the ability to store information in an online repository and probably a few other goodies.

6.    How safe is Cereal?

We consider Cereal to be very safe to use as it does not store any personally identifying information nor does it communicate any personally identifying information via any medium such as the World Wide Web or in print unless you specifically direct it to do so. You have the option of password-protecting your database or even requiring a password to access Cereal if you feel insecure.
